Vaccination :
The Dominican Republic is considered a secure country, safe for travels. However, we advise you to refresh your tetanus and polio protection and, preferably also, to refresh your hepatitis vaccination. These are considered preventives measures.

110 V, 60 Hz, two-pole flat plug. Adapter and transformer are required.

Required travel documents:
For a stay up to three months, German citizens need to have a valid passport. There is no visa required. It is important to obtain a tourist card for  US $10. You may obtain this card at your local travel agency or directly upon arrival, at the airport. It is also available at the German embassy.

Travel insurance:
It is recommended to buy travel insurance. Please check with  your travel agent also about health care coverage during your vacation..

Customs:
Upon leaving the Dominican Republic, you may export  200 cigarettes (50 cigars), 1 liter of high percent alcohol  as well as presents up to 160 Euros in value, toll-free.
